Engineering description:慈溪汤浦水库引水工程的主要任务是从绍兴汤浦水库引原水至城北水厂，经水厂净化处理后作为城市供水。工程环评批复建设内容及规模：引水规模20万m3/d，输水管线总长64.66公里，其中隧洞8段共12.68公里，管道长5l.98公里，提升泵站两座(汤浦泵站和新丰泵站)，水厂一座(城北水厂，环评中为中西部水厂)。
